The old towns of Cacela Velha and Castro Marim are well worth a visit. If you like gambling, there is a casino in Monte Gordo as well as many restaurants offering Portuguese and international cuisine. Also worth a visit is the beautiful town of Tavira, 16 km west from Manta Rota. It is very easy to lose track of time in Tavira, a lovely old town with a rich history. You can spend hours strolling the charming cobblestone streets with it's  many restaurants, shops, bars and terraces to enjoy a refreshment in the sun. Ilha de Tavira, it's famous beach with many small restaurants is only a boat ride away. The beach of Barril in Santa Luzia is also very nice. This beach is accessible by foot or if you don't like to walk, there is a small train that takes you there. This very well equipped, modern and tastefully decorated (semi detached) villa is laid out on two floors and consist on the ground floor of a south facing light and bright living room, a fully equipped spacious open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, adjacent dining room with access to semi covered terrace with table & chairs and a guest bathroom with shower. From the hallway a staircase leads to the first floor comprising 2 double bedrooms with twin beds (one with terrace) sharing a bathroom with bath, master bedroom with south facing terrace and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes. Access from the living room to the swimming pool with outside shower and terrace with BBQ area, kitchen sink, table and chairs for 'alfresco dining', sun loungers and parasol. The property benefits from double glazing, shutters,  central heating and air conditioning throughout the villa. Flat panel LCD TV, DVD player, audio system and Satellite TV.
