The kitchen is decorated with antique azulejos and has a nice wood-burner stove and a traditional bread oven.  This old oven was once used to roast twelve piglets to celebrate a village wedding. The old cashier room became the dining room. The living room has central heating and a gas burner. There is a long corridor with Sta. Catarina tiles, leading to three double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom. It is really a beautiful old quinta where you will feel at home immediately. This property is ideal for a large family who would like to spend time together but if required also offers privacy. There is an external staircase which leads to the roof terrace with a magnificent view over the ocean. The Quinta is on a plot where there are two more cottages for rent. Guests may use the communal pool with ocean view. The pool is the old eira, a circular threshing floor called in Portuguese “a eira”. The shape of the pool is a large half-moon. If you don’t want to swim you can still enjoy the shade under the bamboo roofed pergola. There are sun loungers available. If you like to make an after dinner walk you can walk along the boundaries of the estate( it’s a 2 km walk) or you can have a stroll in de palm tree garden.  The calçada pavement surrounding the property is over 250 years old. The beach of Pedras del Rei is the nearest beach, only 3,5 kilometres away. St. Estêvão is a  typical small Portuguese village only minutes away.
