At certain times of the day you can cross the river on foot but there are many small boats that work as ferries and also a charming open sided train that crosses. Surfing, kite surfing boat trips and canoeing activities can be undertaken from the near by Barril Beach, which has bars and cafes. Tavira is just 3 km away so you can easily walk, take your car, catch a bus or a taxi for a few  euros. Golf courses are just a 10 - 15 minutes away. A drive to the west coast would only take 1 hour and Seville is less than 2 hours drive away. This spacious and beautiful apartment with Mediterranean ambiance is decorated to a modern standard.
