rental information and conditions
* Normal office hours at
the airports are from 06.00am to
24.00pm.
NOTE: For each delivery or collection outside
of normal hours at airports a fee of
15.00 will be charged directly to the client.
An airport tax of 20.00 will be supported by the
car rental company.
Baby seats:
may also be supplied on request. The cost for these
will be 4.50 per day with a maximum of 63.00
per
rental.
Passenger insurance: may also be
supplied on request. The cost for this will be
4.00 per day. Additional driver:
for each additional driver mentioned on the rental
agreement there will be a charge of
17.00.
Young drivers: all drivers between 21
and 25 years old must pay an additional tax of
3.50 per day directly to the car rental
company.
Roof racks: on cars to which roof
racks can be fitted a fee of 5.50 per day will
be charged with a minimum of 16.50 and a maximum
of 77.00 per rental.
To be
covered by Insurance, Drivers must be duly mentioned
on the Rental Agreement.
Collecting
in advance: there is no refund to the client
for the rental days which were not used.
VERY
IMPORTANT
The client
(whether the driver or not) is always responsible
for a bail in the amount of 600.00 for group A,
B and C, 1.200.00 for group D; E, I and J,
1.800.00 for group F,G,H and N, and 2.500.00 for
the remaining groups, in case of a self-provoked
accident, in case of damages caused by acts of
vandalism, in case of theft of the vehicle or theft
of any of it's accessories. This payment must be
made upon the delivery of the car, in cash or by
credit card. The referred payment will be refunded
to the client at the end of the rental period, in
case no accident has taken place, as well as no
damages have been caused to the vehicle by acts of
vandalism, theft of the vehicle or any of it's
accessories.
This situation
can only be eliminated with the payment of an
insurance of 8.50 per day for group A, B and C,
10.00 per day for group D, E, I and J, 15.00
for group F, G, H and N, and 20.00 for the
remaining groups. This amount has to be paid by the
client when receiving the vehicle.
In case of
accident by our car driver's fault taking into
consideration Portuguese law, insurance companies
decline any or all responsibility for that driver of
all damages caused to the hired vehicle or to third
parties whenever it is detected that the driver was
driving under the influence of alcohol, narcotics,
drugs or toxic products or by insanity of the
driver. Also if the client uses the car in sportive
competitions, races, rallies or challenges, contests,
bets, etc.
We also take
this opportunity to inform that even if the car's
driver is not under the influence of any of the
above items but by any means also destroys our car
by his own fault we shall not refund any amount for
the time left to complete the rental and only give
another car through a large deposit that may cover eventual
damages that can be caused to the new car. We would
like clients to be well informed about the above
situation.
