This luxury apartment called ´My Santa Luzia´ is situated in the fishing village Santa Luzia, just 3 km west from the lovely town Tavira with blue flag beaches, shops and restaurants close at hand. Santa Luzia is a very relaxing place with no high-rise buildings or busy streets. A typical Portuguese working fishing village that is very much as it has been for centuries with a small fishing community providing a variety of locally caught fresh fish and octopus for the many bars and restaurants. It has a pleasant palm lined river - part of the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve Park Laguna with tidal flows - that you cross to reach the beach and ocean beyond. At certain times of the day you can cross the river on foot but there are many small boats that work as ferries and also a charming open sided train that crosses. There are two blue flag beaches near by, one is called Terra Estreita which you can reach by ferry boat and the second is called Praia do Barril which is a short 15 minute walk (or take the charming mini train, children love it) through the Natural Reserve park of the Ria Formosa. This is also a very nice area for bird watching. Surfing, kite surfing boat trips and canoeing activities can be undertaken from the near by Barril Beach, which has bars and cafes. Tavira is just 3 km away so you can easily walk, take your car, catch a bus or a taxi for a few  Euros.

The apartment has everything one could wish for! A true home away from home and one of the best on offer to sample the Mediterranean lifestyle in the eastern Algarve. The large private terrace is ideal for sunbathing, early morning breakfast, long lazy lunches and alfresco dining under the stars in the evening. A BBQ is available.

A car is not needed as all amenities are within walking distance. However, we always recommend to rent a car to make the most of your stay in the Algarve. This apartment has a private parking space in the garage underneath the building for off-street parking.

Located on the top floor, this stylish and well presented apartment consist of a hallway leading to the light and bright living room with dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, kettle, toaster, blender, coffee machine. The two good size double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and a bathroom with bath and shower complete the accommodation. A large flat screen TV (60 inch/152 cm) with home cinema and DVD player is available for entertainment. Air conditioning for cooling and heating in all rooms.

Access from the living room through large glass sliding doors opening out to the large south facing terrace - which gives that nice airy feel - with sun awning, pergola, BBQ, 4 sun loungers and a table with chairs. From here you have nice views of the Ria Formosa Natural reserve park towards the sea.

The apartment is also an ideal place to use as a base to explore the Algarve, it's many beautiful beaches, water sports and the golf courses near by. Benamor golf is the nearest 18 hole golf course approx. 5,5 kilometer from the apartment. The golf courses of Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima are less than a 10 minutes drive away.
