Construction: approx  60m2 covered area (excluding excluding terraces & patio of 142m2), built before 1951, renovated in 2011.

Description: 
One bedroom first floor apartment with loft in village house located in the center of Manta Rota on a quiet 'cul de sac' only 200 meters from the beach. All amenities in this friendly seaside village are near by and there are many restaurants and bars to choose from. The beautiful beach of Praia Verde with it's centuries old pine forest is also well worth a visit. The Algarve offers most of the year the ideal circumstances to play golf and there are four Golf courses only a few minutes drive away: Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima, Castro Marim Golf and the most prestigious of all, the Monte Rei Golf Club. The old towns of Cacela Velha and Castro Marim are well worth a visit. Cacela Velha was an important centre during the Muslim occupation of the Iberian Peninsula, and archaeological research indicates previous human occupation (probably Roman) in this area. In the 16th century this fortification was reconstructed and conservation and restoration works lasted until the end of the 20th century. This Fortress is now classified as a Monument of Public Interest.  Visit Cacela Velha at sunset - you will never forget the country side and sea vistas from the fortress walls. Go for dinner at a restaurant called FABRICA, the road sign of which you will see when you visit Cacela Velha. This restaurant has a large covered esplanade overlooking the Ria Formosa sea inlet and excellent seafood. If you like gambling, there is a casino in Monte Gordo as well as many restaurants offering Portuguese and international cuisine. Also worth a visit is the beautiful town of Tavira, 16 km west from Manta Rota. It is very easy to lose track of time in Tavira, a lovely old town with a rich history. You can spend hours strolling the charming cobblestone streets with it's  many restaurants, shops, bars and terraces to enjoy a refreshment in the sun. Ilha de Tavira, it's famous beach with many small restaurants is only a boat ride away. The beach of Barril in Santa Luzia is also very nice. This beach is accessible by foot or if you don't like to walk, there is a small train that takes you there.

Casa das Rodas is an apartment with terrace and patio ideally located very close to the sea with direct access to the beautiful beaches of Manta Rota. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a typical Portuguese village house, tastefully decorated displaying several interesting features, namely original 1920's Art Deco double doors in Brazilian mahogany and a number of decorative pieces from countries afar. Access is through gates onto the patio area and up a flight of stairs consisting of a open plan living area with double bed and LCD TV, dining area, a basic kitchen (gas hob, microwave/grill/oven) with breakfast area and a bathroom with bidet, bath & shower. From the living room a staircase leads to the converted loft consisting of two single beds, wash basin, TV and access to the good size terrace from which you have beautiful views over the village towards the sea. The loft ceiling is slanted, see photo (1.90m to 1.20m). Air conditioning and iPod docking stations in both the 1st floor and loft.

In the patio the hot/cold Jacuzzi that sits 4/5 comfortably with room to move around and splash, is in fact a hydrotherapy facility equipped with a variety of massage jets, ready to take care of those sore points in your back 24/7, particularly welcome after an afternoon of beach activities or end of the day BBQ undertakings. On the patio you will find a covered terrace with table and chairs.

For those wanting peace and quite this is an ideal 'writer's retreat' offering special prices for 'longish lettings.
Casa das Rodas is situated in a dead end alley away from the traffic and noise of the main road, a short walk from Ria Formosa and its 6 km of dunes and virtually empty beach - and yet literally 2 minutes from the local Market, Supermarkets, ATM machine and a number of restaurants, patisseries and bars. Pharmacy at 25m from entrance gate.’
 

A car is not essential.
The apartment is suitable for maximum 2 adults and two children/teenagers*. (*Please note the staircase to the loft is steep and the ceiling of the loft is slanted, 1.90m to 1.20m)
